PROJECT
Birrocco is a festival dedicated to craft beers created by Ideology in 2013 which involved numerous brewers and tens of thousands of participants. It takes its name from the combination of Beer and Baroque. This dualism was represented by a different illustration every year which takes inspiration from the typical baroque masks visible under the balconies of the historic buildings of the Val di Noto. Each mask has a history and distinctive characters. After having created 9 illustrations in the last 10 years, we thought to develop a collection of NFTs.
We have deployed an ERC-721 smart contract on the Sepolia blockchain network, implementing the ERC-721 standard and the OpenZeppelin library for security. Furthermore, we created a React.js interface and minted 9 unique NFTs with distinct metadata. An AI Chat Bot was also designed with a knowledge base made up of information from all 8 editions of the event so you can ask any type of curiosity.
This strategy has allowed us to make the event known on new fronts, attract a new audience, mostly interested in tokens and cryptocurrencies, in addition to creating a sense of exclusivity within a multi-tiered community for those preparing for such initiatives. Every year Birrocco allows us to put our creativity to good use through the creation of innovative 3D assets and digital solutions, both for communication on social media and for phygital entertainment, through augmented reality with apps that allow the masks to materialize in any environment.
